A vision in the making
Imagine staying in one of our 82 spacious guest rooms. Sip signature cocktails on the rooftop bar. Enjoy sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay Area. Dine on farm-to-table menus inspired by Sonoma’s wine country. Business travel never felt like this before.
Whether you are staying overnight or meeting a friend for lunch, we are redefining the hotel experience from the ground up. We are busy planning Hotel Sequoia, an independent boutique hotel located in a historic landmark location in downtown Redwood City, California. Thoughtful details, excellent service and modern amenities wrapped in the hotel’s grand exterior will create an authentically local experience and one to remember.
Vision
Vision
Hotel Sequoia offers local owners Dani Gasparini and Alyn Beals the opportunity of a lifetime – to rehabilitate this historic landmark property in downtown Redwood City, bringing it back to life while preserving its rich history and story for future generations.
First constructed as a luxury hotel in 1912, Hotel Sequoia was centrally located in the heart of the city’s commercial district and was one of several impressive grand era hotels. As the only survivor of this historic period, Hotel Sequoia was designated as a Redwood City Historic Landmark in 1981.
Dani and Alyn’s vision is to transform this unique hotel property into a contemporary, world-class experience with all of the features of a modern hotel, while preserving its historic roots.
